For over thirty years, I navigated high-stakes contract negotiations and represented elite sports properties in my professional career. Outside of boardrooms and stadiums, however, I pursued a deeply personal passion in complete privacy: roaming the beaches of the New Jersey Shore to gather weathered driftwood, sea glass, and shells, transforming them into intricate marine sculptures.
What began as a private creative outlet has evolved into my life’s primary artistic endeavor. Today, I exhibit my work publicly through J. Libro Design, sharing my contemporary interpretations of oceanic movement, balance, and marine life with collectors around the globe.

From the Boardroom to the Ocean Shore
For more than three decades, I built a career negotiating contracts and representing elite sports properties. It was a fast-paced world of strategy and boardrooms—but away from the noise, I pursued another passion in complete privacy: gathering driftwood along the New Jersey shoreline and sculpting marine forms.
For years, I created solely for myself and my private space. Now, I am bringing these hidden works into the light. Through J. Libro Design, I exhibit my contemporary marine sculptures publicly, sharing my reverence for the ocean's movement, resilience, and quiet power.
The Ocean Does the Carving
Along the shore, every tide leaves behind fragments of a story—weathered Atlantic wood, sea glass polished by decades of waves, and remnants of maritime history shaped by nature itself.
I never carve the wood into something it isn't. I spend months walking beaches like Sandy Hook and Sea Bright, collecting pieces until the wood itself begins to suggest a form. My job is simply to recognize it.
